Did you know that the sun and moon could be the key to transforming your health? I'm not kidding. What if I told you that how much sunlight you get, or even when you eat, can radically impact your energy, mood and overall well being? Hey, I'm back. Welcome back to fast to faith, where we dive deep into how God's design can help you live your healthiest, most vibrant life. I'm your host, Doctor Tabitha, and today's episode is going to reveal something often overlooked, but it's absolutely critical to your health. Living in rhythm with nature, just as God intended. Okay, I can't wait to dive into this topic, but first, let me just interrupt with this really exciting announcement because my team and I have been listening. So many of you want to help your friends, your sisters, your neighbors. Some of you are even health coaches or functional providers or nurses.

Dr. Tabatha

00:01:05 - 00:01:59

And you're just like, how can I help other women? So we have been working diligently. We have figured out how to create a coaching certification program. I'm so excited to bring this to you. We are going to teach you how to be a faith based health coach. Okay. Christian centered health coach, whatever you want to call it. If you want to become certified in the vast of faith method and you want to help other women reclaim their health, the way that you have, the way that you have learned alongside with me all of this time, and you want to make it a lifestyle, you want to create a business, you want to have a side gig, you want to have some financial freedom. All of those pieces are going to happen for you.

Dr. Tabatha

00:01:59 - 00:02:46

I'm so excited. We've been working diligently, trying to bring all of this together because I can teach you the functional medicine pieces, right? I can teach you how to reclaim your health and do all of that. But the coaching piece of it, how do we implement these changes? How do we change our bad habits? How do we create better habits? How do we shift our mindset? Because healing in our body requires renewal of the mind. That is what God has told us. You know this. I talk about this. Getting control of your mind is everything. And so I have created a coaching program that is based around this.

Dr. Tabatha

00:02:46 - 00:03:21

And then we decided, like, let's help women turn this into their own business so that you can have financial freedom. You can quit that job if you hate it. Honestly, I hear so many women that can't get their health back because they're miserable with their jobs. It doesn't have to be that way. I promise you. You should be living out your calling that God has on your life, you should be living out the desires of your heart. And I know it feels scary. I've been there.

Dr. Tabatha

00:03:21 - 00:03:57

I left my cush job. I left the salary and all that security behind because God was calling me to do something else. And now he's calling me to help you do the same if you are so inclined. So I am just so excited. Stay tuned. It's coming very soon. We're planning for an October launch. If this at all resonates with you in the tiniest little way, deep down inside, I want you to talk to God about it.

Dr. Tabatha

00:03:58 - 00:04:32

I want you to say, God, if this is for me, please let me know it. Because some of you out there would make amazing faith based, functional coaches. You really just would. You inspire other women. You understand the journey. You have your own test to testimonial story, all of that, and we're going to teach you how to leverage that and really guide other women through this process. So stay tuned for all of that. I'm super excited.

Dr. Tabatha

00:04:32 - 00:05:32

I just. I couldn't keep my mouth shut about it anymore. I don't even think the team knows. I was telling you guys today, I just don't want to wait any longer. So that's what we've been working on in the background. Super excited. So consider becoming a certified fast to faith coach, okay? In the meantime, we need to talk about how God created our bodies to actually work in alignment with the universe's rhythms, with the earth's rhythms, all this, okay? It is really profound when you start to think about it, but it's so powerful just by doing a few shifts in things to get into that alignment, okay? Because God did design us to live in sync with his creation. When we align ourselves with his rhythms, whether it's the seasons, the sun, or the moon, we restore our health and bring our bodies back into balance.

Dr. Tabatha

00:05:32 - 00:06:15

So I'm going to dive a little deeper. There's three ways we can align ourselves with the rhythm that God provided. Number one is eating food in season. Okay, so, the first rhythm, the rhythm of the seasons. Did you know that God provided us with the perfect food to eat? Depending on the time of year, each season produces different fruits and vegetables that nourish our bodies in specific ways. Think about it. Summer is full of hydrating fruits like watermelon and cucumbers. Winter gives us root vegetables and hearty foods that provide warmth and strength.

Dr. Tabatha

00:06:15 - 00:07:06

And if you live in a place where the weather is kind of the same most of the year around, you might forget this and really fall out of this. Rhythm. You know, I am fortunate enough to live in Michigan, where we definitely have all four seasons. There's no question about it. You know when it's fall, you know when it's winter, you know when it's spring, and you know when it's summer. But think about the foods that are available for you. Okay, here's the question. Are you actually eating food in season like God intended, or are you ignoring his natural order and eating whatever you want? Whatever's available that might be really interfering with what's going on in your body.

Dr. Tabatha

00:07:06 - 00:07:50

So when you eat food that's in season, you're aligning your body with the earth's cycles. God's given us different fruits and vegetables throughout the year for a reason. And each season brings exactly what your body needs in that specific time. So think about it. In the summer, when the heat is high, God provides us that those hydrating, cooling fruits like watermelon, cucumbers, and berries to replenish when we lose in the heat. These foods naturally help us to stay cool and hydrated. In the winter, it gives us those root vegetables. They provide warmth and strength and immune support, which is super important during those colder months when our bodies need more sustenance to stay healthy.

Dr. Tabatha

00:07:50 - 00:08:54

We got cold and flu season. We need to fight off the viruses, especially when we're indoors more and the air isn't circulated as much. We're more prone to catch those infections because we're all kind of isolated or not isolated. We're all kind of, you know, stuck together indoors all of the time with that recirculating air. So what happens when we start to ignore these rhythms is we disrupt the balance that God intended for us. And so when we eat foods out of season, like having strawberries in the dead of winter or eating heavy, hearty meals in the peak of summer, it throws off our natural balance of nourishment that our body needs. This can actually create stress on our digestive system and lead to inflammation, fatigue, and even weight gain. So when you're eating in season, you're working with the earth, with God's design, and you're providing your body with the nutrients it needs to thrive at the right time.

Dr. Tabatha

00:08:54 - 00:09:49

This is actually a really powerful way to restore balance in your health, reduce inflammation, and experience energy, which is what we all want, right? So remember, God's timing is always perfect. And eating food in season, in his way, is his way of caring for us, nourishing our bodies in the way he intended at the time we need it most. Number two, eating with this rhythm of the sun and the moon. Okay, let's talk about the rhythm of the sun and the moon. God designed our bodies to follow the rhythm of the day. And one of the most profound ways to honor that rhythm is when we eat. Here's something that might surprise you. Eating a healthy meal late at night is actually worse for your body than eating an unhealthy meal during the day.

Dr. Tabatha

00:09:49 - 00:10:53

I know. Why is that? Because God created our bodies to eat when the sun is out and fast when the moon is up. So fasting with the rhythms of the sun and moon is what God intended for our bodies. Just like the sun provides energy, we're meant to nourish ourselves during those daylight hours. And then, just like the moon signals rest, we're meant to fast and allow our bodies to repair at nighttime. Okay, so ask yourself, are you eating in sync with the sun, or are you disrupting your body's natural rhythm by eating late into the night? Because aligning your eating habits with the sun and moon can radically improve your health, it is one of the best ways to restore your body to a healthy weight. And then number three, understanding natural light, artificial light, and your circadian rhythm. Okay, let's dive deep into one of the most important rhythms that impacts our health.

Dr. Tabatha

00:10:53 - 00:11:57

The circadian rhythm. This is our body's natural clock that God created. I talk about this in the book, fast to faith. We have natural clocks throughout our body running our immune system, our hormone production, our other hormones, our stress hormones, all those different things. That's our circadian rhythm. Right? And when we read Genesis 114, it says, and God said, let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and for years. Okay? This is really important. We cannot negate the fact that the sun and the light that we receive are for a reason and for a season, okay? The way the sun goes around the earth, all those different things, we have different amounts of light at different times of year.

Dr. Tabatha

00:11:57 - 00:12:48

We want to incorporate that and figure out how to get in sync with that so that we can be as healthy as possible. So the best thing to do, honestly, is every morning when the sun rises, God intended for those early rays of sunlight to get into our eyes and kick start a cascade of hormonal and chemical processes. So get outside and experience those early rays of sunlight into your face, into your eyes. You don't want to wear sunglasses, because that'll block it. This light affects your mood, your sleep, your hormone balance, everything. And I know that some of you cannot get to this. Right. Here's the issue.

Dr. Tabatha

00:12:48 - 00:13:47

We're just. We're not in sync with the natural light God gave us. A lot of us are avoiding the sun altogether, waking up way before the sun or way after the sun's been out, or we never go outside, and we're just exposed to only artificial lights, those types of things. And then, to make matters worse, in this day and age, we're exposing our eyeballs to blue light. We're looking at our phones as soon as we wake up, our computers, our tvs. That blue light actually disrupts our circadian rhythm and keeps us from being in imbalance. It prevents us from getting deep, restful sleep and to do the repair and restoration that our body needs to do. So this could be an easy biohacker way of, like, kickstarting your health, getting back into alignment.

Dr. Tabatha

00:13:47 - 00:14:59

If you are just feeling completely off, like you are so tired when you're waking up, you are struggling, you're dragging, or you are awake at night and you can't fall asleep, or you're falling or waking up super early. Like, if all of that is disturbed, really try and focus on getting in alignment with the sun and the moon. So as soon as that sun comes up, you're like, oh, I'm starting to see some of those rays go outside, especially in your bare feet. If you can ground into the earth and get those energy frequencies flowing through your body while getting those rays of sun in your eyes, you're going to get back into alignment a lot quicker. I just got back from California. I was only there for four days. And for me, that is key for switching time zones and feeling awesome when I land there. And then when I land back here in Michigan, it's like, get back on the cycle of where I live.

Dr. Tabatha

00:14:59 - 00:15:44

So get my feet grounded, get that energetic frequency from the earth so my body knows what time zone I'm in, get the rays from the sun, see the moon, go to sleep, all the things. It sounds almost even a little bit corny even when I say it, but I promise you, it's so profound. Like, this stuff works. That is how our bodies were created. That's how God created us. So we have this, these clocks inside of us. God gave us the sun to help us set our circadian rhythm, and the moon. So are you letting the sun's natural light in each morning? Are you giving your body the darkness it needs at night? That's a big thing I had to do.

Dr. Tabatha

00:15:44 - 00:16:26

I had to get blackout shades in my room. I even put electrical tape over the big light on my fire alarm because all of those lights can be very disruptive to your circadian rhythm. Your pineal gland actually can see that light and be triggered by those lights when you're trying to sleep. So super important. Okay, so just to recap, go outside in the morning, you know, just do 1015 minutes. You'll be amazed what a difference it makes. Go for a walk without your sunglasses. Really reset your entire system.

Dr. Tabatha

00:16:26 - 00:17:13

At night, get away from those blue lights, especially after sunset. And then turn off your devices if you can, turn off your wi fi if you can. Or at least get them out of your bedroom. Get their, get them away from your head as far as you can, because that electrical impulse can interfere with your own rhythms. Okay? So I promise you, God provides everything we need to thrive. From the food we eat, to the light we receive, to the rhythms of the sun and the moon. Our bodies are designed to work in harmony with his creation. So when we align our lives with his natural rhythms, we experience better health, more peace, a deeper connection to the way he designed us.

Dr. Tabatha

00:17:13 - 00:17:56

This week, I challenge you to start syncing your body with nature. Eat the foods in season.
