Fast to Faith: Weight Loss & Hormone Support for Women Over 35

275: How We Use Smart Nutrition To Calm Hormones, Heal The Gut, And Restore Energy

Dr. Tabatha Episode 275

Tired of doing “everything right” and still feeling inflamed, foggy, and out of sync with your body? We dig into a clear, faith-forward plan to restore energy, steady hormones, and heal the gut using targeted, physician-grade supplements and practical daily habits. No fads. No hype. Just clean science, smart dosing, and tools you can actually stick with.

We start by reframing the problem: modern food and stress deplete minerals, overwhelm the liver, and skew our fat balance. That’s why stacked support works best. We unpack Hormone Tame as a five-in-one: activated B vitamins for methylation, mitochondrial nutrients for energy, and polyphenols that help metabolize estrogen so periods calm and mood steadies. Then we tackle the omega equation—why seed oils drive inflammation and how a high-purity omega-3, plus magnesium, can flip the script on aches, sleep, and resilience.

From there, we build your gut plan. A medical-food style protein with L-glutamine soothes IBS and feeds the lining. Digestive Lift adds enzymes, gentle acid, and ox bile to prevent bloat and help you handle healthy fats. For microbiome balance, Biome Lift stabilizes daily while Spore Lift acts like a bouncer when SIBO or post-travel trouble hits. We also introduce a fiber you won’t fear: a diverse prebiotic blend that increases short-chain fatty acids, nudges Akkermansia for metabolic health, and naturally boosts GLP-1 to curb cravings.

Detox gets a reset with a true 3-2-1 approach—opening phase 3 and 2 before phase 1 so toxins exit rather than recirculate. Expect less bloat, brighter skin, and steadier energy when you rotate this seasonally and keep daily support with Slim Lift. If you’re stepping down from GLP-1 meds or want a stimulant-free metabolism boost, MetaboLift pairs GLP-1 support with AMPK activation to quiet “food noise” and raise your burn without wrecking appetite or sleep.

This is how faith, functional medicine, and simple choices meet: whole foods, better fats, prayer, rest, and supplements that respect how the body actually works. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review to help more women find real healing.

Dr. Tabatha:

We live in a toxic world. The food we are eating is not food. I call it Franken food. Like they took a bunch of stuff and they made it into something and called it food. It's not nourishing. It's not healing to our bodies. If you're tired of doing all the right things and still feeling exhausted, stuck in your body and disconnected from God, this podcast is for you. I'm Dr. Tabitha, Triple Board Certified Functional Medicine Physician, and I help women stop fighting their bodies and start healing them God's way. This isn't about another diet or quick fix. This is about restoring your energy, your confidence, and your faith through fasting, functional medicine, and biblical truth. Welcome to Fast of Faith, where you don't just lose weight and feel great. You step into who God created you to be. So let's get into it. Welcome back to the Fast of Faith podcast. Ooh, our last episode was so good. We decided to just do a second part.

Ashlee :

Yeah, completely unplanned.

Dr. Tabatha:

But completely unplanned. We're in the same clothes. Don't hate on us. I wore a blazer just for my girl Emily because she's always so snappy. But welcome back, Emily.

SPEAKER_00:

Thank you.

Dr. Tabatha:

Glad to be back. Yes, we need to dive in and just talk about every supplement individually. That's what we decided. Women need to know exactly what they're taking and why. And you can start to compare it to what you have in your house. And I think that's really gonna benefit you. So I always think of 1 Corinthians 6, verse 19 and 20 like your body is not your own. You were bought at a price, it is a temple of the Holy Spirit. So we really need to up-level how we're taking care of our temple. I used to treat mine like a garbage can, I will just be honest. And I'm not okay with that anymore. So this is one of the most important things to me is that I'm taking high-quality supplements that are actually doing what they say they're doing, and I'm getting my money's worth, and I'm not making my body worse by putting the wrong stuff in it. So if you guys didn't listen last week, go back and listen to that episode. It's an overview of why different supplements work or don't work, why the quality matters, the dosing matters, the manufacturer matters 100%. And that is why I private label orthomolecular products. You cannot get orthomolecular unless you have a provider or you buy fast of faith products. That is how we get around it. So, yay, let's dive in because one of our top sellers is what? What does everybody love? Hormon Tame.

unknown:

Yay!

Dr. Tabatha:

And it's had a couple names like don't hate us, but we are just trying to help women. And part of that when you're growing a business is rebranding and understanding what the market responds to. And so it used to be called energy lift, I believe.

Ashlee :

Yeah, it did. And you know what? I guess that's something we can we can talk about too, is so you used to this company used to be called Gutsy Gyne, and then we transitioned it to Fast to Faith, um, just for easier, so everyone just knows what fast to faith. But um we should mention that if you were ever taking Gutsy Gyne supplements, these are the same supplements. It's just we just rebranded the name, so they're not different supplements. But if you still have Gutsy Gyne supplements that you're taking, they're probably expired, so check that date.

Dr. Tabatha:

Exactly. Or maybe they're not, they last for quite a while.

Ashlee :

It's been a while now.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yes. So let's talk about hormone tame essential multivitamin, because even though it gives you all the vitamins and minerals you need, there's extra goodness in there, isn't there? I think you have a bottle sitting next to you. Yes, it's right here.

SPEAKER_00:

It's lovely in all its glory. Here she is. Yes. Yeah, tell us about hormone tame. So this is um, this really is hormone tame is five products in in one. Um, if you listen to the the other episode, one of the things that we talked about is oftentimes, you know, women are just people were taking a lot of supplements. And the nice thing about a lot of the um supplements that we have here at Fast of Faith is that they're just so consolidated, where you could take this and you are basically taking five products. So, yes, this is gonna be a multivitamin, but there is so much more. We actually kind of refer to it as a multivitamin on um steroids. One of the key things that this is gonna be helping is your mitochondria. And I'm I'm gonna try my best to keep everyone awake here. We're not gonna go into too much science, but we all remember that cute little mitochondria, that little organelle from like, I don't know, eighth-grade biology or something like that. It was so fun to learn about. All you need to know is that they are responsible for so many systems and processes in your body, and especially they're responsible for your overall energy output. Um, and if you want to guess how many, if you were all here, I'd love to ask you, you know, how many do you think in one cell in the brain, there are 10,000 mitochondria. So, I mean, that's a lot. There's 5,000 in one cell in your heart. The reason I say that is because what that kind of tells you is, oh, my body really depends on these mitochondria because there's so many here to help me function. And this is going to help with that. This will, this, this has been actually double-blind, placebo-controlled, studied to help with immunity. It will help with detoxification, it will help boost up your mitochondria, it helps with metabolism. So weight loss kind of burns your fat. Um, it'll help with something called methylation. It has your B vitamins. Here's the thing with methylation it is a biochemical process that happens in your cells a billion times per second. It is wild how critical it is. So cool that our bodies do this for us. I mean how how that is so good. It's amazing. Um now, you're probably thinking, well, why does that matter? What is methylation? Why does that matter? So methylation is responsible for things like your immunity, your hormones, your um nitric oxide. So that's kind of like a vasodilator, detoxification, your mood, neurotransmitters. You really look at almost every system in the body, and methylation plays some critical part. Now, why does that matter further? It's estimated that 60% of the population does not remember how I said the word methylate, they don't do that process well. Methylation is just kind of like a little process of hot potato. You got a hot potato here, you got a methyl donor here, and your cells are like, I want it, I want it. They just kind of toss it around. Okay. If your body doesn't play hot potato well, and that's just a genetic thing, you then are, you will probably struggle with all of those things that I mentioned: mood disorders, um inflammation, hormone imbalances, detoxification capacity, I mean, you name it, there'll be so many struggles that will go along with that. And so that's why having good quality activated B vitamins, which are really key methyl, they're like the potatoes in the hot potato. They help the potatoes move around. If you don't have good quality activated B vitamins, it's not doing anything. Your body's like, sorry, I just can't play hot potato. You got a cold potato hanging out there. And that's critical. Your body has to be able to methylate properly. So it is a multivitamin in that it will have various vitamins and minerals. The B vitamins are a critical component of it. There's vitamin C, there's magnesium, there's selenium, um, there's alpha poic acid. That is so important for not only blood sugar balance, but also alpha poic acid being an antioxidant, it recycles other antioxidants like vitamin E and vitamin C and different things like that. So you've got the beautiful protective antioxidant base, acetylalcarnitine, really good for brain health, really good for fat burning and stamina. Um, and acetylcysteine, huge. I mean, so important for immunity. It's very, very important for that. And then, of course, you've got resveratrol and EGCG and broccoli seed extract. And so you add all these things up, and it's like, wow, this is like, this is gonna help my immunity. This will help my detoxification capacity, this will help my hormones, this will help my brain, this will help every system and organ in your body taking this product. And so, yes, it's a multivitamin. Um, it will help with those deficiencies, as we were talking about a bit in our our our the first episode. But the reason that we need supplements, I mean, you gotta think about it, like it's not called the um, like the um, how do I want to say this? Like the the word the reason it's called the supplement industry is because we're just supplementing areas that we just can't really kind of get with our food. So we're filling in those gaps. And so hormone tame is inviting the body to just fill in all of those gaps so that the tug of war when we do consume things kind of calms down a little bit because the the you know, the organs are like, we have enough vitamins, we have enough B vitamins, we have enough vitamin C. We don't have to be just fighting over the minimal amount that we get from our food, which I'm I mean, I'm all about I'm health coach, all this food is the foundation of lure existence, and we'll talk about that, I'm sure. Um, we just aren't always able to absorb a lot of nutrients from our food. It's just the unfortunate reality. And the food is just the food is different now, the soil is different. We don't live the way that we did many years ago. And if I were to bet probably a lot of your listeners, I mean how many square meals do you eat a day? It's hard to do when you're a busy mom, you have kids, you're working, you've got a million things to do. It is so hard to squarely eat every single day. So you got to fill those gaps. And hormone tame it will help to do that.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, 100%. And I just think in the Bible, God tells us to use the land and then let it rest every seven years. And we just don't do that in the agricultural industry. So we our soil is so depleted because we never give it a break. We just continue to grow on it and it's nothing but dirt at that point. Like there's no magnesium in there, there's no minerals. So it's really essential that we're getting that in supplementation form. But I want to explain why we named it hormone tame, because what I noticed when I first started using it, not only did my energy come back because I was supporting my mitochondria, and I have multiple methylation defects. I have a compet mutation, I have two MTHFR mutations, so those B vitamins like woke me up and I was alive again. But my crazy heavy periods calmed down because I was actually metabolizing my estrogen more properly. That NAC and that alpha poic acid and the resveratrol, all these things were helping me so much. And when I started using it on patients, that was the consistent feedback I was getting is my period is more manageable, it's not insane anymore. And I'm like, yes, because we're taming your hormones. Like we're just we're helping your body break them down and get rid of them the way that your body is supposed to. And unfortunately, we have all these things that compromise the liver's ability to do that process. And so this is just a good foundation of like, let me handle my hormones properly while getting my multivitamin, while fighting off any flu that's trying to come on. You mentioned N acetylcysteine, like you couldn't even get that during COVID. It was ridiculous because it is that powerful, it is so helpful, and like it's all in there, you guys. It's so good. Yeah, love it. And can you speak to the fact that I only take two a day? Because when I take four, I feel overly excited. And some women will tell me that, oh, I can't take it. And so they just don't take any. I'm like, no, just take two instead of four. Absolutely. What's happening? Is it the niacin?

SPEAKER_00:

I, you know, I I've I've heard that before. There could be a few things that are happening. It could be the niacin, it could just be that they're getting so much energy from that dosage. I mean, remember, these are therapeutically dosed products. We're not messing around with the dosage. It's gonna work. And for some uh women, it just may be that it just is feels like a lot to them. Um, so absolutely, they're welcome to take two. I know quite a few people that they just do half the dose, it'll last you a lot longer. If that's, you know. Um, but the the the the green tea, I get this question a lot. The green tea is decaffeinated because sometimes people think that maybe they're getting some a caffeine rush from it. It is full-on decaffeinated green tea. Um, so I just want to assure everyone of that. But yeah, it could just be the all that energy that we can do.

Ashlee :

We do get the green tea question a lot, like probably four to five times a week. Yeah, we get that. We that question gets emailed.

Dr. Tabatha:

So why is the EGCG in there?

SPEAKER_00:

So that is a very, very powerful antioxidant. The main reason we have it in there is just because it's a powerful antioxidant, and most people are very inflamed and they have a lot of what's called oxidative stress happening in the body, which will just damage your organs and your tissues. And so you want to be able to fight back against that. And EGCG in the form of green tea is a really heavy, beautiful antioxidant. It also does um play some epigenetic role in I like to call it an epigenetic pushback in within the cells. So there are genes that are just begging to be turned on, and when they're turned on, they fight back against the things that are harming your body. And EGCG resveridrol uh turmeric is another thing that will do this, but it'll turn on something called NRF2. All you need to know is when that magic just magic thing is turned on within the cell, now all of a sudden you've got they're fighting back. You've got, you know, genes that are um just fighting back from an antioxidant and immune perspective. So it has a deep, it it's able to just deeply go within your cells and make them happy and and help them fight back like that. So it's really powerful to have good antioxidants coming on board. That's why we have the HECG in there.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, so good. Oh my gosh, we need antioxidants. That's what's in brightly colored fruits and vegetables. This is just a higher, more concentrated form. And some people are like, I don't even know what an antioxidant is. Well, oxidation is what happens when your car gets rusty or anything else. And so your body gets rusty too. Antioxidant means to prevent that oxidation, that decay, that destruction. So you want antioxidants, they're essential. So I love that. What do you what do you want to talk about next?

Ashlee :

Yeah, I know I was looking at the list, and I feel like let's just do a quick overview. So in our last episode, we kind of deep dived into Maglift, Omega Lift, and um BiomeLift. But why don't we just do a quick overview of each one of those before we move into anything else bigger?

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, and I think we didn't talk in detail about the difference in omega-3s versus omega-6s when we talked about omega lift. And it's so important because the standard American diet, one of the worst aspects of it is the high levels of omega-6s. Like that's what's destroying ourselves.

SPEAKER_00:

Yep, right? Oh, 100%. It's actually, oh, I get just if it's I get furious because we are, you know, oftentimes we don't really have a choice. I mean, if you look at your labels, if you if you go out to eat like the average human being, you are going to have omega-6s. Now, let me explain, and I'll explain this briefly. Omega-6s and omega-3s are called essential fatty acids, which the name implies, they're essential for the functioning of your body, mostly stored on your fat, um, but they're very essential for the functioning of your body. Both of them are, but however, in a one-to-one ratio, meaning you don't need a whole lot of omega-6s. Now, omega-3s um are phenomenal. Omega-6s, though, in too much, like you could have a ton of omega-3s, and you're it's it's omega-6s, though, if you have too much of that particular omega, it will turn into something. If you want to look it up, it's called arachidotic acid, even though you're probably like, how do you spell that? I know, just know it turns into inflammation. So you do not want to have too much omega-6s. However, it literally, if you look at all of your packaging, even if you are currently dairy-free and gluten-free, if you can still a ton of the gluten-free snacks out there still have sunflower oil, soybean oil, corn oil. Now remember that ratio of the one to one. The average corn oil, uh, soybean oil, safflower oil is anywhere from 50 to 100 to one, meaning you're basically just consuming inflammation. And I believe this to be one of the main reasons. And this is just, this is not like medical advice. This is just my opinion, is that that is that is the root cause of why we have so much chronic disease. Well, it's also Dr. Mark Hyman's opinion. Okay. Everybody in the functional space agrees with you, Emily. So it is so, and and and but I, but you know, well, we don't have much choice sometimes. You, if you go in an airport, you're gonna be eating inflammatory omega-6s. You know, if you go out to eat True Food Cafe, we don't have one in Michigan. There's the closest one I think is in Atlanta that I went to. They don't have any any seed oils. Everything is made with like coconut oils, like healthy avocado oils. Um, okay, so this is actually, I want to say this part too, because oftentimes I'll get the question, well, but can I just maybe eat like fish or something like that? You can eat fish. Please eat fish as long as it's wild caught. Like it's so good. But I would like to know if you're eating fish every single day of the week, because if you start on Monday, by Sunday, that salmon is you're gonna be real sick of it. Okay. It is very, very difficult to get the amount of omegas that we need, especially to combat the amount of omega-6s we've got, because now we got all this inflammation from the omega-6s. The other thing that's important to know, and stick with me here on this because it's a little bit of science, but just know that your body is taking the omega-3s and converting them with specific enzymes to what's called EPA and DHA. So if you look at your bottle of omega lift, it's gonna say EPA and DHA. That's good. You want that. Your body is trying to convert omega-3s, maybe from your salmon, to EPA and DHA. Here's the problem. The same enzymes that your body uses to convert your salmon to the EPA DHA are the same, same ones that it uses to convert omega 6s. What that means is now you got a friendly little competition. So if you have a lot of omega 6s, your body is not going to be able to even convert omega 3s efficiently into the EP and DHA. Do you see how that matters? So this is why it is so critical to take a good omega fish oil because you got to combat all that inflammation. There's many reasons to take it, but you you're there's just again, it's just that that competition. The last thing I want to speak to is the eggs. As I said, I want to talk about the eggs because this comes up all the time. Because I'm sure if you if you um you know work with the health coaches here at Best of Faith, they're probably asking you to consume um organic free-range eggs. And then you go to Whole Foods, you're going to grocery store, and you're like, why are these$11 for my eggs? What's going on? I'm going to tell you why it is important to consider to keep doing the uh free range eggs. Remember that ratio of one to one. You want to have a ratio of one to one for omega-6s and threes in the ideal world. And you can go with omega-3s, you can go a lot higher than that because omega-3s do not turn into inflammation like omega-6s do. Okay. If you were to say, I'm not going to do those organic, you know, whatever. Like those those chickens are probably fine. I'm going to go here and I'm going to just get this store-bought USDA, you know, caged eggs. You're looking at an omega ratio of approximately, and again, every brand is going to be different, approximately 50 to one. That means you're basically consuming inflammation. Yeah. If you have, you maybe get from your local farm or from, you know, you get the actual free range. Egg dealer. It's your seven egg dealer. Now we're talking, guess what that ratio is? It's one to one. So there is a reason why your coaches are asking you to, and your doctor are asking you to consume these things. It's not because they sound cool, it's because there's actual data. We want you to heal. Your body is going to have a hard time healing if you're eating eggs every day that have a high omega-6 ratio. It's just going to have a hard time. So that's why it's just so critical to have an extra omega-3 supplement come in to combat all of the inflammation, but also when you're looking at your diet, it's just, yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah. And people might not understand. And it's because they are feeding these commercial chickens with cornmeal, which is full of omega-6s, and those chickens go and put that in their eggs. So you want chickens who are running around eating the little bugs and the grass and all the stuff in the pasture. So that makes such a huge difference. And like I can't even tell you how different I feel when I add in omega lift because I do tend to consume a lot of omega-6s. Um, just with traveling and having two teenage kids. So we're never eating dinner at the same time, or we're always grabbing and on the go. And so I have to combat that. I have to counteract it. And just think about the fact, like back in 1900 or 1940, before the food industry really existed, you could get away with eating salmon once or twice a week because you were not getting omega-6s in your diet. But now we we're getting them everywhere we turn. We're getting them in their coffee drinks in the morning. We're getting them in our, you know, everything. That's why potato chips are bad for you, not because of the potatoes or the salt, because they're soaked in omega-6 seed oils. And so we're just combating this. And that is why we need omega-3s in such high levels. So people are like, oh, we don't need that. That's not how God created our bodies. God also did not create the food industry and expect us to like be in this constant war all of the time. So we have to really see the truth for what it is. We live in a toxic world. The food we are eating is not food. I call it Franken food. Like they took a bunch of stuff and they made it into something and called it food. It's not nourishing, it's not healing to our bodies. So thank you for explaining that. Get yourself an egg dealer. My sister has so many eggs, she can't even give away all of them. She puts them on the side of the road with a sign like, please take.

Ashlee :

Yes, I know. I've got a couple of sister-in-laws that have them, and my best friend. And so get yourself an egg dealer. We always laugh about. We change, um, my I like bring the old egg cartons and she brings me new, and we do it in paper bags, and we always just laugh about like what people think about the world.

Dr. Tabatha:

Do we live in when we get our marijuana at the store and right on the street? Like in a parking lot.

Ashlee :

Yeah, in a parking lot. So I yeah, it is. I feel like we could go into a whole nother episode with the food. So oh yeah, we will definitely need to do that. Um, okay, so we covered the omegas. We um covered. Did we talk about maglift? We we did in the last episode. Do we want to talk about it anymore?

SPEAKER_00:

Sure. I mean, yeah. Um, we can talk about supplements. Give it a quick lock it down. You can tell me to not talk about something like that.

Ashlee :

Let's lock it down. Let's do a quick overview of maglift and why it's important again.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. Um, so magnesium is a mineral that is from the earth. It is something that is responsible for hundreds of enzymatic processes in our bodies. And if we don't have it, you're gonna feel it. Um, most people don't get enough magnesium really based off of what we just talked about. It's not in our diet the way that we're used to. Our soil is very depleted. I was reading a report the other day that on average a person, well, this is this is um vitamin K, but it's the same thing I read for magnesium. When they you when you consume certain foods, you only get about 10% of the minerals from the food. It isn't always the case. It's just that is oftentimes can be the case. Um, so it's hard to get all the minerals. Um, so it's really important to supplement so that your processes and your body can work well. So we're talking blood sugar, we're talking blood pressure, we're talking anxiety, we're talking depression. Um there are just, I mean, I I every single process in the body pretty much relies on magnesium. So if you want to function well, migraines, it can be, it's been shown to be helpful depending on your situation, if you struggle with uh the migraines. So it's just, it's it's a pretty, you know, inexpensive product and it does wonders and it just does so many things in the body.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, I mean, we get our patients and clients saying, I just I will never live without mag lift. Now that I understand how well I sleep and how much better I feel, like don't ever take it away from me.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. There was a study where um it performed as well as an antidepressant in patients with depression. So that's an area that is just continuing to rise in our country, depression and anxiety. And um, it's a struggle for people to figure out a way that, you know, to how do you support that? And so trying something that your body needs, anyways, um, could maybe be supportive.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, I would love to share that. I have been on so many antidepressants over 20 years. I was on Prozac, Zoloft, Well Butrin, Lexapro, Effeccer, which was impossible to get off. I like effects or is evil in my mind. Um, it's a struggle. I've helped many patients get off of it, but it's hard. And the way I got off of it was getting on hormone tame, D3K2 lift, and mag lift. Like I've never once thought I need to go back on those medications. It's crazy. Like, oh my gosh, I just needed some vitamins and minerals.

SPEAKER_00:

I know. I it really is quite the and when you look at how hormones are um sorry, neurotransmitters specifically are synthesized, you look at if you break down the pathway, magnesium is literally required. Vitamin C is required, like mineral minerals and vitamins are required. That's where this tug of war keeps coming in. So when you give your body enough of these nutrients and therapeutic doses, guess what? It can work for you. Yeah. I know. I used to struggle with insomnia. Like I was one of those where I did not sleep. I could maybe fall asleep, but I would be up. I mean, it was just a nightmare. And it just is terrible because then you're off all day. And when I started all of the, you know, proper supplements and it added in some breathing exercises, and you've got to have your everything changed. Yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

Everything changed. Exactly. So yeah. I don't think people realize that minerals are the spark plugs of our body. They actually help our energy move and go where it needs to go. Like they give us life. So super essential.

Ashlee :

All right, let's move into the gut. I think it's time for the gut. I think this is something that we're passionate about at Fast of Faith and at the practice level. Um, and we have several products that we sell that do really well. So one of them that is near and dear to my heart that I have every single day is gut lift protein powder. There's also spore lift and biome lift. We we touched on biome lift a little bit. And then we also have um digestive lift. I think we can talk about that inside of here. We also have a new product called All-in-One Microbiome that we can maybe touch on too, because I like that as well.

Dr. Tabatha:

Tell people how you use the gut lift protein powder because I just you're adorable.

Ashlee :

So I make a shake bowl. I have made a shake bowl every day for years. And I just simply take my gut lift protein powder, I add canned coconut milk or any other kind of fat to it. Um, sometimes I switch up what kind of fat it is, a little bit of water, and I mix it up. So it's kind of like a brownie batter. Um, and then I will top it with sometimes granola, sometimes nuts, sometimes fruits. It just kind of depends on the mood. But I will also do so. What I love about this protein bowl is you can do this at home, but you can also do this. So when I was still in education, um, my students could tell you that every day at lunch, I literally walked around with a bowl with my um Gutliff protein powder in it, and I would eat that. It was how I would break my fast every day at lunch duty. You can do it. I would make it straight up in my office with just a little bit of water and I would go. I take it to my son's sports games, I pour water in it on the go. Tabitha knows I do it when we travel. We have like bowls and spoons that we travel with now. So it is, it is just really crucial. And I like the way that it makes me feel. And it's a really nice meal. A lot of times, if we're going to a party or maybe we're going to a dinner where I'm kind of skeptical that I'm gonna be able to eat anything, being gluten-free, I will have this before I walk out the door just to get that protein in. So it is a powerful supplement.

Dr. Tabatha:

And I love it because it's not cold. Like, I don't like drinking shakes, they make me cold with my thyroid issue. Like, I just don't tolerate that.

Ashlee :

Neither one of us are shake people, and that's that's like the first thing that people will say when I I'm like so excited, you're having gutliffed protein powder, and they're like, I hate shakes. I'm like, that's great. Let me tell you about the shake bowl. So, yeah, this is a really awesome product.

Dr. Tabatha:

You can just drink it with almond milk, absolutely can.

Ashlee :

It's so versatile, but and by all means, be a shake person. We're we're just not.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah. So this is the product I talked about in the last episode. It was like how I met you and it got my bowels moving regularly, but there's so much more in there because it's not just a protein powder, right? It's an anti-inflammatory powder. So we talk to that.

SPEAKER_00:

It's this is this is one of my favorite products too, because it is um it's so impactful so quickly. I mean, if you are a person who struggles with IBS, whether that's constipation or diarrhea, if you feel like you get kind of bloated, if you just kind of feel like you get it's a little bit just painful. Um, I mean, my goodness, this definitely would be the product for you because you you do feel so different so quickly. I always take it when I travel. Um, if I travel abroad or wherever, I'm like, I gotta have some anti-inflammatories in here because you don't know what you're gonna be consuming. Yeah. Um, it the the beauty of this is I really actually refer to this as a medical food because that's actually really what it is. Now, is there are there 19 grams of protein, organic brown rice? Absolutely. And it's easy to digest, and you that's a great amount of protein. I mean, as women, oh my goodness, we need a lot of protein to keep our muscles rocking and rolling. But when you can give your body protein, but all these other nutrients just to help support your gut, I mean, it's just a game changer for people. And it tastes really good. Like it's delicious flavor.

Ashlee :

I think we should address the we have rice protein, we have pea protein, and um, we always get the question, is it vegan? So why don't we address those three things?

SPEAKER_00:

Yes, they are both vegan. Yeah, they're both vegan. Yes. Um yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

And they're a complete protein panel, right?

SPEAKER_00:

They're complete protein panel. I mean, it is exactly what you're looking for with your with your protein for sure. Um, and it it also will support your immune system, it'll support your gut. So especially if you do know that you have quote gut issues, um, there's L-glutamine in there. So L-glutamine is literally gonna be fuel for your gut cells, basically. So it's basically it's just like all this these amazing nutrients are coming in. There's five different anti-inflammatory agents in there, which is pretty powerful. Um, and there's different um inflammatory markers in your body, but there's one that we call the master switchbreaker. It's called NF Kap B. And that's like the granddaddy, it controls everything. And these anti-inflammatories, some of them will modulate that granddaddy of inflammation. So if you just feel like, oh, I just feel so inflamed, especially if you go out to eat or whatever it is, maybe you have like a holiday event or something, a wedding, um, it this will instantly calm your inflammation in your gut. It will also heal your gut. So if you know that you have intestinal permeability or leaky gut, yep, that's gonna come in. And the nutrients will uh just heal and repair your tissues. Um, there's some amino acids in there, lysine and glycine. Those will also help to fuel and just heal tissue. So it will help your immune system, it increases your natural killer cells, um, it'll calm your inflammation, it tastes really good, and you get 19 grams of protein, and it will just overall help with your mobility and just sort of mortility in the gut too. So I love it.

Ashlee :

And we have three flavors strawberry, um, chocolate mint, and vanilla chai.

Dr. Tabatha:

I just keep all three around. I like to mix it up. Like I said, I like vanilla chai and hot water, like pretending it's a latte. Chocolate mint is fabulous in a shake bowl with some nuts and berries. Strawberry, I think, is great if you do want to do a shake or just drink it straight, you know, with I I like the strawberry in the summer.

Ashlee :

I feel like I do vanilla chai more in the winter, and I feel like strawberry just seems more summery. Um, and then I wanted to just make sure that it was clear that our vanilla chai is our pea protein. So the other two are rice, a rice blend. Yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

So my favorite. Yeah. Well, good. I think we need to talk about digestive lift because yeah, you did a stool test and you're like, why am I struggling? Uh, you had a parasite, you had some bad bacterial overgrowth because you needed stomach acid support. And we talked about this in the last episode. Women are not making enough stomach acid. You can do the poor man's baking soda test if you want to see if you're making enough stomach acid, but that is part of digestive lift. It's also support for breaking down um our food enzymatically. Will you talk about why digestive lift is different than just grabbing some enzymes at the drugstore?

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, that's yeah. So the enzymes, that's an area where the manufacturing of enzymes, it's the same thing with probiotic strains. I mean, you really, there's a process that goes into it. And you want to make sure that because there are so many different enzymes that break down different components of your food, that you really have a product that will have enough of, you know, again, like therapeutic dosing. Do we have enough of the enzymes? Do we have the right enzymes in there? Do you have a certificate of analysis, which we have that will prove that we have enough of those, you know, enzymes in in the product? Um, like you mentioned, I mean, really, I think around the age of 40 is when typically, and with chronic stress and different lifestyle factors, the the um the stomach acid just begins to decline. And so if you feel that after you eat, you're like, oh, I just feel kind of bloated all the time. I feel maybe there's like a little gassy, a little distention, maybe a little nausea, um, or you've been on a PPI, which um from my understanding, you're only supposed to be on those for a short period of time.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, three to six months.

SPEAKER_00:

And a lot of people are on those PPIs. Also, when you're on those PPIs, by the way, that will could very likely be depleting your B12. So, um, but with the enzymes, it's so critical that the beginning process of breaking down your food, it starts, like it starts in your stomach and you have enough um stomach acid to be able to start the process of breaking down your food. And a lot of women don't have that. And that's one of the reasons why you feel so bloated and distended and you have food sensitivities. It could be because if the food doesn't break down, your body is like, what are you doing like this? You're supposed to look like this, but you look like this because you're not broken down. And then it has a big reaction because you're it's not supposed, your food's supposed to be broken down. Now it's critical, of course, to try to be calm when you eat, to chew your food properly. There's those lifestyle things as as well, but you want to give your body the support. So the digest lift is gonna have all of the enzymes that you need to help you with both phases, um, the gastric and enteric phases of digestion. So you have the um the beta, hydrochloric acid, the ox bile extract, latiulatus. If you don't have uh gallbladders, that'll be really supportive. Um, the pathane, the bromoline. So it's gonna help to break down carbohydrates, uh, gluten as well with the bromine and the pathane. So carbohydrates, gluten. I mean, not that, you know, if you shouldn't be eating gluten, just probably don't do it. But we it's very easy when you eat out to get uh it it just becomes um what's the word not translocated. Yeah, cross-contamination. Thank you, cross-contaminated. Yeah. So it's it's easy to get gluten. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

Well, yeah, they put they now roll French fries and gluten. Like, why are you destroying my french fries? You're already putting omega-6 seed oils. Come on, people. But I want to mention the ox bile a little more because you know, women come into Fast of Faith and they start the 40-day, which is a higher fat um macro count, and they often don't tolerate it. And it's because they have a sluggish liver and they're just not making the bile, or they don't have the gallbladder because they had their gallbladder removed from stones because their bile wasn't flowing. So like I would say most women over 40 need that ox bile support.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, a hundred percent. That's why it is so helpful and supportive because it's such a quick thing. You just take it about 20 minutes before um before you eat. So I always keep mine with me. I just keep it in my purse. I mean, mind you, my purse is the size of a suitcase, but um I because you know, you just you gotta have it on board before you're gonna eat. Yep. And that will really help with digestion, the digestion.

Ashlee :

And I have one sitting on my kitchen table. So every time we sit down to eat, my husband and I both take it.

Dr. Tabatha:

So yes, if you have the excuse that I can't remember to take my supplements because I'm at work and they're at home, buy a second bottle. Just have a bottle at work or have the bottle in your purse.

Ashlee :

Yeah, or have an emergency stash and a baggie or something.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yes, we need to overcome these excuses of why we're not supporting our body. Exactly.

Ashlee :

All right, so now let's dive into spore lift and biome lift and the difference. So we offered both of those. So why don't you share a little bit about why you would take one or the other or when is the appropriate?

SPEAKER_00:

Well, then the reason that we have both products, that there are two available, um, is because, you know, your your body is unique to you. And in some cases, you just might need to take one over the other if one just feels better for you. Um, typically the biome lift is more of that kind of maintenance everyday probiotic. We just take it on board every day for good measure. Um, could be very good for specific reasons like antibiotic, antibiotic associated diarrhea, C. diff, and things like that as well. The spore lift is going to be very beneficial if you got something going on. Like maybe you have a small intestinal bacteria overgrowth situation. Um, if you feel that you you just really need to kind of get rid of some of the bacteria that probably shouldn't be in there.

Dr. Tabatha:

Like he just partied in Mexico. Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Then you probably want to take some spore lift. Spores are different. So the probiotic strains that are in biome lift, those are strains that are endogenously already in your microbiome. We're just kind of like re-inoculating and replacing those, if you will. Uh spore lift is different because those are called bacillus spore strains. So they don't currently all, they're not residing in your gut right now. And they're they're really impactful because they will increase things like uh short chain fatty acids. Those are so important for gut healing. So that's like butyrate, if you've heard of butyrate, propionate, so short chain fatty acids, they'll increase that. They also have this uncanny ability to utilize something called quorum sensing. I mean, look at how smart these things are. All that means is they're able to go in and they can sense if uh you have bacteria. So there's bacteria sometimes that are in your large intestine that can start to creep up into your small intestine and they're not supposed to be there. Um, and the sp the spore lift can come in and kind of act like a bouncer and say, no, no, no, go back down to where you belong. You're not supposed to be up here. And it has the ability to keep the bacteria that are good that are supposed to be in there. That's how this does the quorum sensing work, but it removes the bad guys and pushes them back down, kind of again, like a bouncer. It has the ability to do that. So it's been studied in clinical trials to be very supportive for whether you have constipation or diarrhea, it will be very supportive for either case. There is actually a study on one of these strains called lactospore that was really supportive for depression in particular. Um, so it's really, they're just like for different types of people depending on what it is that you that you want to do. Um, but the, oh yeah, that that spore lift is just a game changer. If you think you have SIBO, um, if you notice that you eat certain foods, kind of like digest lift where you have those similar symptoms where you get bloated and gassy, you're like, what's going on? Um especially if it's what we call more of like the high FODMAP foods. And those are things that you might love, like avocados and chocolate, like cashews, these are beautiful foods. But um, if you have the wrong bacteria in the small intestine when you consume those foods, they go to battle and you feel that battle and it hurts. And so very, very quickly in one of the clinical studies, we see that people the bloating goes down, um, the kind of gas and the pain goes down, and bowel movements are normalized in a pretty quick manner. So they're similar, but they're just kind of different. So yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah. And honestly, I've had a lot of patients come to me on megaspore, and they're like, Well, I don't know why I'm still struggling. I've been taking megaspore, and that goes back to our last episode of like, this is just another level. Like spore lift is next level quality, and it's probably gonna help in a way that the supplements you're getting basically online are not gonna be able to help with, right?

SPEAKER_00:

100%. And I want to say a note about the probiotics in general. Probiotics are very delicate and they're very difficult to manufacture, they're very it's very difficult to keep them alive, and you want them to be alive and to doing to do their thing. So much so that even though we are the global leader truly in creating in manufacturing probiotics, I mean we have that science down. They can degrade over time. They can do that. Even when you have your bottle of whatever probiotic that you have, and if it says 23 billion CFU or whatever, you need to make sure and ask the question to the whoever it is online, you know, is there gonna be 23 billion though when this is done, or is there just gonna be 23 billion when I buy it? That's really critical, which is why the the spore lift and the biome lift are actually given to you at a bit of an overage. We put about 20 to 30 billion extra probiotics in there, we just throw them in there so that if there is a degradation, there isn't always sometimes there can be because they're non-refrigerated, people might keep them in their car or you know, things like that. That ensures that no matter what might happen, you're going to have the actual dosage at the expiration date. So how you make a probiotic is critical for the efficacy. It's just critical.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, that's why we actually see a difference when women take fast of faith supplements versus other probiotics. So I'm glad that we really, you know, explained that piece of it. And so it's not about is it refrigerated or not? It's how it's manufactured.

SPEAKER_00:

That's right. Um, heat, light, and moisture can degrade a probiotic strain, which is one of the reasons why a lot of times, kind of back in the day, if you will, most solid probiotics were refrigerated because we wanted to protect them. But we have processes and systems in place where we're able to avoid that because we just, you know, compliance was an issue. People would forget to take it. If you travel, what are you gonna do with your probiotic?

Ashlee :

Very nice pack.

SPEAKER_00:

Right. It's a big deal. So if you choose strains that are number one, researched quite well, and all of our strains are gonna be researched. And if you listen to the first episode, they're trillions. I mean, there's so many different probiotic strains, but they're not all well researched. So if you use the ones that are well researched, that's gonna make a big difference. Are they gonna hold up? Are they gonna be resistant to antibiotics? Ours are. Um, but then also when we manufacture, we coat each one of the strains with an inorganic polysaccharide salt mixture. Try to say that fast. It took me a minute to protect them. And then we also, you know, during the freeze-dry process, and then the capsule is also a patented time-release capsule as well. So you've got that protection in there. All that means to you is you don't you don't have to refrigerate it. It is not a necessary process, and you're still gonna have efficacy, and we're able to prove that.

Dr. Tabatha:

Awesome.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay.

Dr. Tabatha:

Before we move on, I want to talk more specifically. You said antibiotics, and a lot of women are given antibiotics for urinary tract infections or dental work or or different things, and then they have gut issues afterwards. So is biome lift what they should be on after antibiotics?

SPEAKER_00:

Oh my gosh, please, please, please, please. And I would even argue you can be on it during, just take it about two to three hours after. Um, but afterwards, please, because appreciate that while that antibiotic is helping you, it is also an atomic bomb going off. And it is destroying your gut microbiome. So please appreciate that. You have to be able to re-inoculate. And so, yes, taking a biome lift after that is really, really critical. And if you do struggle with a C. diff or an antibiotic associated diarrhea, there's a specific strain in biome lift that is called sacromyces bolardy. That one acts like a what did you call it? Is roomba? What is it? Yeah, the room? The room. Yeah. Okay, roomba.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

It'll do that and it will um just bind to things that are causing damage. But it's been cited in men in clinical trials and hospitals and things like that to clear up both of those things. So uh definitely, oh my goodness, yeah. If you're in an antibiotic, just whether you feel okay or not, still get on you want to get on biome lift to just re-inoculate your gut and get your body back into a conditioned space.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah. And most women have a yeast infection after they take a dose of antibiotics. So if you want to prevent that, yeah, take biome lift. Yes.

Ashlee :

All right. So there's a couple more that we want to talk about. Um, so I don't think we were planning to talk about this one today, but let's talk about the all-in-one microbiome um lift. It is new, it's a newer product. It is something that I have every day around between 2:30 and 3.30, depending um on the day and my schedule. I just love what it does and how I feel. Um, I always kind of uh I put it also a scoop of brain lift, which is a story for another day. But um, let's talk about all-in-one microbiome.

Dr. Tabatha:

No, I think you should mention why you do the two together because all-in-one microbiome lift, I think of like Tang from the 80s, which was toxic and exactly. But that's the taste of it. It's fun. A nice uplifting situation.

Ashlee :

Yeah, I do it, I do it in the afternoon because a lot of times I will have been working and uh walking and doing a bunch of stuff, and I'm not, I haven't drank enough water. And so it gets me that like whole, I just make like a ton of water with it. And then I put the brain lift in because it has the magnesium. Um, and it kind of just like gives me a good transition from work life to mom life because that's usually when I'm picking up my son. And so that's why I do those two things together.

Dr. Tabatha:

And the flavor is just brain lift is like a berry flavor.

Ashlee :

It's like a berry flavor, so they just mix really well. Um, I use both of those different products for mocktails. Like sometimes I'll put bubbly water.

Dr. Tabatha:

So yeah, I mean you're like a resident gastrologist. I mean, I guess I can gastronomist. I don't know. I have no idea.

Ashlee :

Mixologist, maybe so, but yeah, I feel like it's fun to make these kind of things fun to take. And like you want, I literally look forward to my shake bowl, and I look forward to my afternoon mocktail.

SPEAKER_00:

Absolutely. Yeah, those are both great products. Oh my gosh, they're so good for very different reasons. Just they're both like they're both so good. Yeah. Yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

So the all-dive into what the heck is all in one microbiome lift.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, this one is just so fun. It is so critical. Well, fiber is one of these things where, you know, we were talking about in the first episode, you know, how many of your listeners, you know, how often like ask yourself, do you eat three square meals a day? Like it's really hard to get. You're talking about you've got two teenage boys. Like you're, you know, it's so hard to get your um just to eat even uh regularly, you know. Fiber is absolutely critical. It is, it is so critical. We're talking, I mean, 30 to 50 grams a day is a typical recommendation for women. Good luck getting that in your food. It is so hard to do. And it is, it is just absolutely critical for just bowel movements to prevent colon cancer or so many different things. Um, even to regulate blood sugar, it's just critical. So it's okay, so estrogen detoxification, right?

Dr. Tabatha:

Yes. Hello, we need all of that.

SPEAKER_00:

Absolutely. So um the all-in-one microbiome lift, it is a fiber, but it is so much more than that. There's 11 different prebiotics in there. So that's a really good number. Remember, we talked about the diversity of the microbiome. There's so much going on there. And so this is going to be helpful for you if you feel you do struggle with constipation or diarrhea, either, either one. If you are scared of fiber, which I'm sure some of you listening are scared of fiber because you've tried it and you got worse. We hear that. This is a very specific, these specific prebiotics we chose in the formulation because they're very gentle on the body. And some of them are called resistant starches, which means that they don't do their thing until they pass your small intestine and get into your large intestine. All that means for you is that that is going to ease the experience of consuming fiber. And if you're nervous about it, maybe just start at half the dose. There's 11 grams of fiber in one scoop. If you're nervous about it, just start at half and see how you do. Um, but it is definitely we're we're working on potentially getting it to be actually FODMAP friendly. So if you have SIBO or you, that means like you literally cannot consume fiber because you're gonna have an issue. And so those individuals are really some of the most sensitive, and we feel very confident in that. So if you feel scared with fiber, please give this one a try. It tastes good, it's a natural kiwi flavor that's actually from the golden kiwi extract, which is one of the prebiotics. It's a beautiful healing fruit that has um it's the prebiotics in there, and that will help to lower inflammation in your body. This thing is also gonna help to increase acromancia. Acromancia is a um, it's a it's a natural um strain inside of your gut. And when people are low, they tend to struggle with obesity and metabolic syndrome. So you really want to have a good amount of acromancia. Um, but this is going to naturally increase your body's ability to produce acromancia, which is so powerful. It also increases the magic phrase GLP1 that we all talk about. It does do that, but again, it does it naturally. It just tells your body to naturally increase GLP1. So it increases short chain fatty acids. So this is gonna help with weight loss, with fat burning, um, with just overall um motility. But what it's really doing too is it's just restoring your gut. Um, one of the trends and things that you're gonna hear probably more about in 2020, 2026 is the postbiotic world. And the short chain fatty acids are an example of a postbiotic. It's not like a live probiotic, it's a post, it's like after the fact. And they're really critical for healing of the gut. And so to give your body that diversification of those prebiotic strains, and it again, it'll help if you're gonna feel full. So, I mean, if you are on a GLP one and you are trying to lose weight, or you just find that you crave a lot of foods, you feel hungry all the time, it's a frustrating place to be. And so having a good fiber that will help you not feel so full, it'll help to ease your cravings, it'll help to increase your metabolism, it'll lower blood sugar. I mean, look at the list of all of the things that this is doing for you. Um, it's just a critical product for gut health.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, and I'll share that when I was in medical school, I was diagnosed with IBS, irritable bowel syndrome, and their only suggestion besides bental to slow down the diarrhea symptoms was fiber. And I tried fiber and I felt like a huge balloon, like ready to pop. I was always so uncomfortable and miserable, and it didn't really move my bowels, it just binded me up more. And so I have been afraid of fiber, you know, for a long, long time. And I absolutely love this product. I love all-in-one microbiome lift because it's gentler, it's not like drinking metamucle. It had those prebiotic um sources, they are so helpful and they're just feeding our good bacteria, and that's been the game changer for me. So I hope that everybody tries this because you don't have to be afraid. And like I said, I was not getting enough fiber in my diet. So that looked like heavy periods, fatigue, acne, back acne, all those things because the longer your stool sits in your gut, those are toxins and dead bacteria trying to be removed from your body, and you just start reabsorbing all that garbage and all that estrogen that you're trying to get rid of. And so we have to keep the bowels moving. It's absolutely essential for health in midlife and beyond for everybody. But I I just love this product. I'm so glad you guys created it.

SPEAKER_00:

So do I. It's been so helpful for so many women, and especially as women too. Um, when we start to get colonoscopies, if you find that you have polyps, if you have a family history, and there's a particular one called the tubular adenoma, which is more, it's like a little bit flatter, it's harder to see. Um, and uh women in particular are more susceptible to that particular adenoma. And um, short chain fatty acids have been shown to reduce the incidence of those, which that will increase, those things will increase with um the not to make a claim or anything like that. It's just short chain fatty acids in general have been shown to be supportive in preventing those. So, you know, you just want to do your best. Even if you don't have any gut issues, you still need to be taking fiber. You still, I mean, you it is just so critical for your 100% body. So yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

Well, and I'm so glad that you said that about the colonoscopy because this is what happens. Women get their scope, they're told you had three or five polyps removed. We'll see you in three years instead of 10. But nobody says, wait, why am I growing abnormal tumors in my colon? How do I prevent that? Like that is a sign that your body is not functioning properly. You shouldn't be growing tumors, right? Right? So we have to be proactive, and that means getting your fiber back in your diet on a regular basis.

Ashlee :

Yeah. I this kind of brings me to a story. I'm sure my husband's gonna love that I'm sharing this. But I I'm not at the age where I get colonoscopies yet, but he does. And I we did that last summer. I took him to get his, and I was mind-blown by the amount of just like they put, they bring them in and bring them out and like all the stuff. And he had a polyp. That's exactly what I was like so taken aback, like, what is happening here? And he had a polyp, and so that was when we got into the car, and he was like, Okay, I'm ready for Tabitha's help now. And I'm like, oh, okay, you know, it's only taking you this long. But it was, it was what they gave him, what they suggested that he do, it was nothing that was gonna actually help him. So it took the stool test and it took changing his, and he was able to get off the pepsid and all the things. But I I think it's just so important that education to get people to understand that there are better options out there than this piece of paper that they send you home with and see you in three years. Right. And you're just right. I I was seriously mind-blown by the whole operation. Okay, because I couldn't believe it.

Dr. Tabatha:

It's uh an industry, and the entire job of the gastroenterologist is to do the scope, look for anything bad, and remove it or treat it with medication. They are not in the business of wellness and healing and prevention. Colonoscopies absolutely do not prevent colon cancer. They are a screening tool. They are looking for something bad that is already there. They are not preventative. We misuse that word in the conventional space. So, yes, get your screening done. Do a cola guard or a colonoscopy. But if you're growing abnormal things, like let's get proactive and prevent cancer.

Ashlee :

Yes, please. Oh my gosh.

Dr. Tabatha:

Okay, what else we got?

Ashlee :

Okay, so we got a couple more. So are you good with us?

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. Yeah. All right. Let's keep going.

Ashlee :

All right. So a couple more that we want to touch base on. There is metabolift, but we also have our three to one liver detox kit, which I think is important. Again, this wasn't on our list to talk about, but I think, you know what, we need to talk about it because we've been talking about the importance of getting estrogen out of our body.

Dr. Tabatha:

So especially after the holidays.

Ashlee :

Yeah. I think those are the last couple that we're going to talk about today. But so you you pick which one you want to start with. And we also have slim lift with the metabolist, so you decide.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. So I'll start with maybe I'll do the liver one. We'll we'll do the liver one because we were just talking about like food and um I could give you, I could drop some very depressing statistics for everyone right now in terms of you know what toxins are, where are they, which a toxin is defined as any anything that is harmful to the body. And, you know, there, if you look at the research, um, I mean, it is the in a newly dry cleaned suit. I like to use this one, which is I don't even dry clean this, thank you. And if you are thinking of opening up an organic dry cleaner in Michigan, please do it because we need one. Um, but in a newly dry cleaned suit, there are measurable levels of a toxin called dichloroethylene. And that is something that is just absolutely toxic to the body. So what that means is that when you when you put on a dry clean suit and you it's touching your skin, which is your largest organ. So now after just wearing this dry clean suit, which you had no idea. Well, you if you go into a dry clean, you can smell the chemicals. And it's like, oh, what is in here? That's always a red flag for me. When I can smell it, I'm like, oh, there's I am, this is gonna be bad. It's bad. And that's going right into your bloodstream because your skin is your largest organ. I could go on about skincare products, those can contain hormone-disrupting things. We just live in a society that is unfortunately quite toxic. And what has happened, I think, over the years is that our body's ability to be able to properly detoxify toxins, to be able to properly detoxify our hormones, it's just become impaired. And it's just so critical to be able to support that process. And that's what the liver products will do is they'll take all three phases of that process and support it very specifically so that we just move those toxins through. And now, another reason why sometimes it can be a struggle to lose weight for individuals is that your body, because it's trying to protect you, it will store those toxins in your fat cells, which is kind of a bummer. Well, kind of a good thing because you don't want them hanging around. So your body will do that, but it's gonna hang on to those for dear life because it wants to protect you. So that can be a reason why the fat is just not coming off because it's hanging on to those toxins. So to really give your body a little bit of a break and to be able to take these liver products that will help support the movement of the toxins out, then those they'll release from your fat cells that can also help with weight loss there too. But it's just really critical to get the toxins out. And that's what these products will do.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, I love to recommend our 321 liver detox quarterly or every season if you live where there's seasons. Like you should be doing this two to four times a year just to support those liver detox pathways so that your body can get rid of the ongoing toxic burden. It's like a bucket that continues to fill up, and you got to pour it out and clean it out so that it can fill up again because that's just the world we live in.

Ashlee :

Yeah, we have a really great guide. So when you purchase this, you can actually look at the guide online without even purchasing the kit. But when you purchase the kit, you also get an email with a really great guide because we talk a little bit about like food and some lifestyle changes that we recommend when you do this, and it does say to do it every two to three um months. But I also think it's important to note that this um the first time that you do it, I mean, even the first time I did it when we launched this product, I think it was probably like 18 months ago, it it can be a little bit rough, like just putting it in.

Dr. Tabatha:

If you're a toxic mess, yeah, right.

Ashlee :

Yeah, and I I think I probably was. So I just be mindful of that. But we have seen it at the practice level being done so many different ways, like a very little minute bit of the powder, one pill a day, and it takes forever, but it still works and they still get the results. So don't be afraid to start this and don't be afraid to kind of change up how you're taking it because it will work. Um, because we've seen it work hundreds of different ways at the practice level. It's really cool to see. Yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

That it and I love how orthomolecular has structured the way that you're supposed to take it. Because say your phase two liver pathway is really congested. If you start opening phase one, you're just gonna get a backup of more toxins because, like, you have to open the other pathway first. So it's really important that you're pooping first, and then you have your second phase working, and then your first phase. That's why we call it three, two, one. You you need to work backwards on opening these pathways, and that's why some women feel like garbage when they take liver cleanses or liver detoxes because it's only working on phase one. Can you speak to that a little bit?

SPEAKER_00:

Yes, and this is also why, if you listen to the first episode when we talked about physician-grade supplements, this is one of the differences. Uh, the detoxes, you can do some harm if you take just a random detox from any place. Um, I mean, you really have to be careful because uh, you know, there's a specific way and process in which your liver will, in a healthy manner, take toxins and mobilize them out of the body or mobilize them out of the body. And our science team put the 321 detox together in a manner where we want to mobilize and well, so there are three phases: one, two, three. The second and third phases, you want to get those rolling first. Because once you get those rolling, then the toxins will be able to more concretely kind of move through. I always have a picture of the liver and it's like I can picture it right now, and I wish you could all see it. Here's what can harm, here's the harm that can happen, though. If the toxin comes through and it goes through phase one, okay, before it moves into phase two or three, it changes structure. Why that matters to you is when it changes structure, it becomes more toxic than the original toxin. So if that bad boy cannot get through phase two and three, you are going to probably not feel too good. It's just not good. You don't want it to recirculate. So the science behind it is we give the specific raw materials that will upregulate phase two and three first. So now we're rocking and rolling. Now, some folks, they just may need to do two and three a little bit longer before they start the phase one product. That's okay. That's fine. I mean, your body is gonna be different, unique to you. Um, and so that there's definitely a science behind it. You really want to get those rolling. So I've I've definitely seen um individuals who work in like a manufacturing facility, a hairstylist or salon, you're inundated with more toxins. So I've seen those individuals struggle a little bit. So those you're gonna have to just really focus on doing the phase two and three a little bit more longer, maybe a little bit lighter, like you said, like half this, you know, half the dosage of powder, um, and all the instructions that everything you need are very clearly written out. But there is a science behind it, you have to be really careful.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, a hundred percent. I think that's really important to understand. And if you do a quote unquote liver detox and you don't notice significant difference, like if you don't lose a couple of pounds and sleep better and have more energy, that's a cue that it's probably not that great of a product.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, yeah. We've seen that the results I've seen from people, it's just phenomenal. I mean, we've seen cholesterol labs change, um, anxiety, depression disorders change, sleep, um, overall just a feeling of vitality. What oftentimes happens is people think, I feel great. They're like, no, I feel good. I feel everything's fine. And then you do this, you get through it. And here's the thing it's not easy to do, but we can do hard things. And when you do hard things, you tell your brain, I can do other hard things. It's really good from a confidence-building standpoint and making changes in your life. No one likes to make change. We all hate it, it's hard to do. But when you do something that you don't love and that it's hard to get through, you you show yourself what you're capable of. And that is also one of the critical things, too. And when you join the Fast of Faith community, you're you have a group of people, they've gone through it, you can do it together. It's not just you doing it alone. Oh, I do encourage you having like a friend. Like if you're if you're married and if your husband has pizza and things around, I'd be like, honey, just no, not for the week because it's gonna be too hard for me. Because, you know, there's a little bit of fasting typically that is can be done as well. Um, so it's not easy to do, but that's what when you come on out on the other side of a challenge, it's like you're a different person. And so it's so much more than really just an actual detox. It is that, but you will be a different person at the end of it. You should feel better, you should feel lighter.

Ashlee :

Your skin likely is brighter, poofiness. Like take before and after pictures because you're gonna be mind-blown about the poofiness like in your face. Yeah. Um, that's when usually I can tell that I need to do one when I I start to feel that kind of poofy, tight skin feeling.

Dr. Tabatha:

Well, I'm so glad you mentioned the husbands because even though we market toward women and our supplements are pink and green, these are not gender-specific supplements. Your man can take the face faith supplements and get them to do the liver detox with you. They'll just 10 pounds, those burn men, yeah, they'll complain. They'll complain, but then they'll feel so much better afterward and they'll lose more weight than you because that's what men do.

Ashlee :

Oh, yeah. Massive eye roll. And the liver, the liver lift powder is so good. Yeah, I love that flavor. I've asked Emily many times if we can have a vanilla just a gut lift protein powder. Um, but I because I just love the vanilla flavor of the liver lift. We also have chocolate, um, and you can get it at shop.fastifate.com and you can use the code podcast for 20% off. So it's a great thing to do. So this is gonna kind of lead us into the last couple products, slim lift and metabolift. So I can tell you that personally, I do a liver detox and then I take slim lift in between. So, in between those and the three months that I'm not doing a liver detox, I take the slim lift. That's what I like to do just to keep my liver going.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, so slim lift is a great product to take at any time of year, especially if you have been diagnosed with a fatty liver condition where you know your liver is a little bit congested. It's just kind of like a good, really like a daily maintenance liver that will clear fat out of your liver so fast. It has been shown in clinical trials, the raw materials have been shown, I should say, to clear fat from the liver. So it's just a really kind of good overall maintenance product. There was also a double blind study where women lost a little bit of weight. I think it was about eight pounds on average over the course of two months. Yeah, that's a lot, which is pretty good. So, you know, um being able to support your liver with just a couple caps a day is just a nice way to support in between when you are doing like the full-on cleanse. I think we can take a couple caps of slim lift a day to just overall be support the liver in between cleanses. So yeah.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah, and we like to pair it with metabolift because you know, the ozempic semiglutide, these weight loss injectable medications are all the rage. And unfortunately, now we're seeing the side effects start to come, or women are like, I just I don't want to keep taking it. I can't afford to keep taking it. I lost the weight, I want to come off of it. And so I'm excited that we have metabolift to support that.

SPEAKER_00:

Metabolift is here's one of the things that the JLP1 drugs don't do. They don't increase your metabolism. They will potentially help you lose weight, they might help with your cravings, they might, and we know that there are some side effects that we all know that aren't, you know, ideal, but they don't increase your metabolism. And they don't also increase your body's uh natural production of GLP1. Because when you eat, your body is producing gel P1 and other hormones like PYY and things like that that will help you to say, okay, I'm done. What metabolite will do is it's so it's a combination of plant extracts. So it's lemon verbena and hibiscus. You know, those two have been researched, studied, and patented together as a duo to increase gel P1 by about 55% in the body. It's doing it naturally. What that means is for those folks who are on GLP1s, there's a study that came out on um Lyric with uh lyriclutide, where when they came off of lyri glutide, what they found is that they're endogenous. So your regular production of gel P1 lowered. So that's why people I think a lot of times get scared to come off of those drugs because they're like, I'm gonna be hungry, all the cravings are gonna come back. And you're right, they might because your natural production. So where people will sometimes use metabolift is if you either don't want to be on a gel P1, if you are on one and you're kind of offboarding, it's like you're off ramp. Um, or if you want to lower the dose, or those are pretty much the times. So it's gonna naturally help you lower cravings and um just you're gonna feel a little bit fuller. It also lowered a hormone called ghrelin. You can then ghrelin, ghrelin. If your stomach's growing, you got ghrelin. So it lowered that too. So it it helps with um with those things. Oh, it also increases metabolism. So um it activates something inside of your cell called AMP kinase. Um, by the way, hormone tame does the same thing. It also activates AMP kinase. So those two together, you're gonna ignite your metabolism. So even if you're on a gel P1, that's fine. This is just gonna help you increase your metabolism in general, which who's complaining about that, especially as a woman over 40. Like, we're not complaining about that. Um, so that's really what it's helping to do. It also will lower blood pressure. It's been shown to lower cholesterol. Um, but it's just a mix of uh lemon verbana, decaffeinated, decaffeinated. Want to be so clear on that. There is no caffeine. This is not a stimulant, okay? Um decaffeinated green coffee bean extract. In the clinical trials, uh, there was a study, they they studied obese and overweight patients. The obese patients lost on average two, uh, sorry, 10 pounds over two months, and overweight, it was eight pounds over two months. And um, so um, you know, it you want to, of course, always everything that we talk about today, there's no magic pill. If if weight loss is a thing, cravings, your diet is critical. You want to eat. If you are on a GLP one and you don't eat, that can, you know, you need protein, you you need uh vitamins and minerals. So this isn't gonna get you to the point where you don't ever want to eat. You're just not gonna feel as hungry. You're just mildly full. And but you're still gonna be, you know, consuming food and then also increasing your metabolism as well.

Ashlee :

Yeah, it really helped me when I first took it um with the food noise. And so I think uh something that we can put in the show notes is the link to sign up for our food noise guide that you created. Because, like you just said, there is no magic pill. There's some other things that you have to do to change as well. So I think we'll do that. I think that's a really great guide. But I also feel like one of my favorite titles here at Fast of Faith is being the coaching academy director. And I um have shared this story several times. One of the main reasons I started coaching for the company I worked for before this was for the supplement discount. And so that is true. That is why I started coaching. I was like, sure, if I can get a discount, I'll sign up to coach. And so that is something that we are passionate about, and our coaches get a discount. Um, but we also give a discount to all of our members who are in the Fast of Faith community and anyone at the practice level. So we want to make this accessible to you. Tabitha and I are so passionate about helping as many women as possible, and we know affordability is part of that. So I just kind of wanted to mention that. Um, it was something that was kind of sitting here on my heart because I know that a lot of you are listening and you're thinking, like, how can I afford to do this? And in all honesty, you cannot not afford it because it um helps you become a better woman in general, a better mom, a better friend, a better just person. And you will just feel better at the end of the day.

Dr. Tabatha:

Absolutely. And I just want to give God praises because, you know, I went to medical school, I studied medicine, but what they taught me was here's the drug or the medication to get rid of the symptoms that whatever diagnosis is causing and whatever you're struggling with. But the beauty is that God has given us the things that we need to heal since the beginning of time. Herbs, supplements, those are natural, they come from the earth, and that is why they can't be turned into drugs. That's why the pharmaceutical industry can't use them. And that's why there is this supplement Wild West, because we know the power of these things God has given us, and we're trying to harness it, but there's always a white, right way to do something and a wrong way to do something. So I'm just like you, we are passionate about bringing women the truth and the options to actually heal and not just do band-aid medicine where we're covering things up. And unfortunately, taking a GLP1 injectable, although it can help, it kind of is a band-aid again because, like you said, you're not increasing your own GLP1 production and you might be decreasing your own production long term, which just leaves you worse off. So you lost the weight. And then if you you just can never come off of it. Like to me, that doesn't make any sense. So I love that God has given us these tools and the brain to be able to figure out how to harness it and the science behind it that he created. And I just I love that you are such a wealth of knowledge and you help women not be afraid and understand these products because they're really powerful.

SPEAKER_00:

Absolutely. Yep. It's the these products can be game-changing, it can truly be a game changer. If you are struggling, just know that if you get on board, you look at the dietary changes, you look at the lifestyle changes, your spiritual life, the supplements, it all goes into play. You can be a different person within six months. If you make the choice to do it, um, you fight the battles, and you have a team here to help you do that. Um you can be a different person in six months. Yeah. That's amazing.

Dr. Tabatha:

Yeah. I was thinking about this analogy last night because my family all came over for like Thanksgiving. And half of these people, like my sisters, my um brother-in-law, their kids, my parents, they had holes in the bottom of their socks. And I was just making fun of them and laughing, like, why, why don't you get new socks? And then I started thinking about the fact that we keep wearing these socks because most of the sock is is okay and it's keeping us warm overall. But there's these areas that are worn out to the point where there's holes in them, and so they're not really doing their job. They're they're making us cold. And I'm thinking, okay, can I just like sew that hole closed? No, that'll have a big bunch of fabric sitting there that you're stepping on. That's uncomfortable. And then I started to realize that is a lot of what happens in our diet and lifestyle changes is. Like we are we're covering up, we're protecting ourselves enough that it's tolerable, but we still have a hole there that has to be repaired and has to be dealt with. And so at some point, you gotta get new socks. Like at some point, you have to replace the fabric that has worn away. And to me, that's where supplements come in is like you have depleted yourself so much that there's no fabric to sew together. And if you try to just piecemeal it together, it's not gonna go well. You know, I mean it's a far-fresh analogy, but that's like what was going through my head all during uh the holiday break was we just learn to put up with being cold and having like holes in our socks, and we don't realize like we could be living so much better. We could actually have warm feet and enjoy life.

Ashlee :

I think that's a great analogy. I mean, I personally love putting on a brand new pair of socks. So imagine waking up every day having energy and what that would feel like.

Dr. Tabatha:

Thank you for understanding. I'm not sure. You're so in my head going, am I crazy? Because this makes sense to me.

Ashlee :

Girl, I go around my house and when I see a hole in anyone's sock, it's gone. My family knows. Like if they have a favorite pair of socks and they don't want me to get rid of it, they better hide it. Because I just feel like you know, good socks are important. So yeah, taking care of yourself is important. So I got you. I felt that really deep in my soul.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, I have to share that for real. I had a hole in my sock this morning. I swear. I swear. I was like, oh, oh my gosh. And I had to, yeah. Yeah, you had to get rid of it.

Ashlee :

And so we feel this deep in our soul here.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh my gosh.

Dr. Tabatha:

Emily, this is like a polar vortex outside. Yeah, yeah, it is.

Ashlee :

Emily, this was amazing. Thank you so much for two incredible episodes. If you guys did not watch the first one, please go watch, listen to it, whatever you do that. Um, but Tabitha, why don't you wrap us up?

Dr. Tabatha:

Oh my gosh. I I feel so blessed by this episode. I'm blessed that you came into my life, that you helped start the fast faith supplement line with us. It's just been an absolute game changer for women because diet and lifestyle changes can only take you so far. You gotta get rid of that hole in your sock. Right.

SPEAKER_00:

So yes, you do.

Dr. Tabatha:

Thank you for partnering with us. We are so grateful to Orthomolecular for having such high integrity and just being such an amazing company that we we can just trust and like we aren't afraid to put our name on. Like that's how important it is to me. So thank you. We're gonna have to have you back because I know we're gonna get questions. And we have more products, like we have a lot more products that help with hormone detoxification and and like specific gut healing and all the things.

Ashlee :

Well, that's why they need to get a fast faith coach and they can help them. So there we go. Oh, yes, amen girl. I love it. All right, ladies, love you so much. Have a great week. We'll see you in the sisterhood.

SPEAKER_00:

Bye, girls.
